Healing from Within: Bursting Negative Energy from Your Body

During the COVID lockdown, I started to feel mentally drained. Frankly speaking, it wasn’t about being alone all day, but rather, the thoughts I was focusing on that drained my energy. I used to see a counselor—he was a great gentleman and very knowledgeable—but he wasn’t particularly helpful for the situation I was experiencing.

It was a very different time in my life because my mind wasn’t occupied at all. If I had been making money for my family or trying to overcome a challenging situation, that would have been a different story. My father noticed my mental health was declining and introduced me to Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), explained in detail by Gary Craig.

Some people believe EFT is a needle-free form of acupuncture. You tap on specific parts of your body, such as the side of your hands, chin, and under the nose, among others. It was somewhat helpful but didn’t bring me dramatic peace of mind. However, some people experience amazing results with it—it just wasn’t for me.

To me, it was similar to watching something disturbing on television and turning it off. You eliminate the scene you were watching, but most people, including myself, will continue to think about it.

Two years after going on and off with that mental struggle, Kevin, my mentor, introduced me to Thought Field Therapy (TFT), explained in detail by Roger and Joann Callahan. When I signed up for their free e-book, I received two free videos—you can get them through this link.

I followed the first video, where the instructor shows you how to do it. After one round of tapping along with the video, the negative feeling was permanently gone. Just by using my hands and my mind, without needles or drugs. I know it sounds too good to be true, but it changed my state of mind permanently.

I learned a couple of sequences and started working with my family members and friends. The results were magical—it was like pulling a plant out by the root. With nothing left behind, nothing else could grow in its place.

You might be wondering how it works. Ancient Chinese beliefs, which may still be around today, suggest that energy flows through the body. Any energetic blockages—caused by childhood trauma or incidents in life—can lead to illness and imbalances in the body’s energy state.

Nowadays, different people use various forms of energy therapy, such as Reiki, acupuncture, hypnosis, energy clearing with a psychic, qigong, tai chi, homeopathy, and tapping, among others. These techniques help people overcome different physical and mental disorders. This article focuses on tapping, specifically TFT.

When you think about an incident or trauma, such as losing a loved one (which some believe stems from past lives as well), a negative feeling will arise in your mind. It could be hate, anger, disappointment, grief, sadness, or another emotion. It is like a bubble trapping that negative feeling inside. When you tap on different parts of your body, it causes the bubble to burst, releasing the negative energy out of your meridians, which are energetic pathways that channel the flow of energy.

It is similar to a clogged water pipe—when there is a blockage, the flow of water weakens over time. As soon as the blockage is removed, the water flows back at its normal pressure.

Throughout life, different blockages form in various parts of the body, stemming from childhood, school, work, relationships, and life experiences in general. Imagine how many blockages might exist in everyone.

I attended several workshops led by experts. Some participants shared their negative feelings—often starting with a mild emotional issue, such as relationship troubles. After one round of tapping, another, more intense memory surfaced, often related to a childhood trauma with their parents.

This happens because one blockage bursts, revealing a deeper, more significant one behind it. Think of it like clearing leaves from a clogged water pipe—once the leaves are removed, you might find dirt, roots, and other debris still blocking the flow. The key is to work on one energetic blockage at a time.

I highly recommend this technique. I have personally met many people dealing with different life challenges, and I’ve seen them transform. Many feel happier and lighter as they release stored emotional burdens.

If you decide to try it, I suggest starting with small steps. Identify a specific negative feeling you are dealing with right now and use the free tapping video here. Don’t focus on multiple issues—work on one feeling at a time.

In conclusion, according to Chinese practices, energetic blockages exist in our bodies. Any trauma or negative incident can create blockages in the body’s energy pathways. When done correctly, TFT can permanently clear these blockages, leading to profound emotional healing.
